My most recent works include an audio drama series Laskettua aikaa (2025), which I developed and wrote, as well as a long feature film Levoton Tuhkimo, which premiered in Finland at the end of 2024 and was released in theaters in Estonia at the beginning of 2025.
I started my screenwriting career in the early 2000s with the daily drama series Salatut elämät (Secret Lives), which was my high education into screenwriting. Nowhere else in Finland is it possible to do so much and at such a fast pace - and also to see the script quickly turn into a finished, directed and acted episode.
Since then, I have written several popular TV series in Finland's most interesting TV production companies, until in 2023 I became an entrepreneur. Today I work through my own company, in cooperation with several different production companies.
I mostly write drama, crime and suspense, but I often see the world in a comical light, and I would like to write more comedy. I am a journalist by my second profession, and at the moment I am particularly interested in the mixture of fact and fiction - true-based phenomena and stories.
My main experience is with TV series, but I also work with films and audio dramas. I also teach drama and screenwriting at the university level.
I am good at creating new ideas and leading creative people. My biggest strength as a screenwriter is my broad scope. I have a good command of all aspects of writing: research, ideation, conceptualization, character and world creation, script structure, rhythm and dialogue.
My core competencies are screenwriting, leading creative work groups, teaching, dramaturgy and journalism. I believe in straight talk, empathy and fairness, and I want to develop the TV and film industry in such a way that people feel they can flourish.
